What a pleasure it was to play the Quarry and Lakes at Joondalup Resort and Country Club last week. The Quarry 9 holes lives up to its name as at times you feel as thought you are playing in the Grand Canyons. Your faced with sheering rock walls as you hit your drives over craters that are 30 meters deep. The fairways are in pristine condition, though my playing partner Mitch did not see much of them. As with many courses the feature holes are not the long par 5’s but the short par 3’s. The Quarry has a 118 par 3 where you have to hit over a 30 meter deep crater. If you are long you are in a bunker and if you are short, well don’t be, you wont see your ball again.
The Team Sam and Heather are fantastic and welcome all Golf Downunder Card holders with open arms. As of writing this it is $135 for 18 holes with a cart on their website. If you have a Golf Downunder Card you can play 18 Holes with a Cart and bonus free range balls Monday to Thursday for just $89. Saving $46.
